Ryan Euell and Seth McClenahan each had two goals and an assist as the Rhinebeck High School boys soccer team were powered by five first-half goals and clinched the Mid-Hudson Athletic League Division 4 title with a 5-0 triumph over Webutuck on Monday.
Nir Lavi-Romer also scored for Rhinebeck.
“Rhinebeck stayed very confident and very calm and played within our heads,” Rhinebeck coach Justin Wiesenthal said.
Rhinebeck improved to 8-0. Austin Brown made six saves for Webutuck (6-3-1).
Spackenkill 4, Dover 1 — James Hanan, Chris Stamper, Sean Kaufman and Dan LaGasse each scored a goal for host Spackenkill in an MHAL match.
“We are starting to jell. (Monday) was a complete game for us. Getting off to a quick start was what we were waiting for and (Monday) it happened. Our leadership on the field is proving to be huge. We need to keep this energy and keep building,” Spackenkill coach Manny Blanco said in a statement.
Enrico Alarcom had the Dover goal, and Will Mayr made 14 saves.
Arlington 3, Mahopac 1 — Visiting Arlington rallied after surrendering its first goal of the season to win its 22nd consecutive match dating back to last season.
Eric Eastman and Chris Shea netted second-half goals for the Admirals (8-0), who were tied 1-1 at halftime.
“I felt we responded quite well,” Arlington coach Craig Sanborn said. “They hung tough and didn’t drop their heads at all. They came out in the second half and got two quick ones.”
David Verdis led Arlington with a goal and assist.
Haldane 1, Walter Panas 0 — Aidan Draper scored the only goal of the game for the visiting Blue Devils in the 15th minute of the second half.
Peter Hoffman made 13 saves for Haldane, which hosts Hendrick Hudson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
North Salem 3, Pawling 1 — Hunter Esposito’s goal on a feed from Joe Merendino in the second half was the lone score for the host Tigers (1-4-2).
John Farrell made 11 saves for Pawling, which visits Poughkeepsie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Brewster 2, Arlington B 1 — Dan LaPietra scored the first goal of the game for Arlington B, but the visiting Bears tied the score in the first half and got the game-winning goal in the second half.
Patrick Tracy (two saves) and Andrew Kraemer (three saves) split time in goal for Arlington B (4-4-1), which visits Keio Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Lakeland 5, Beacon 1 — David Landers scored the only goal for the visiting Bulldogs in the 79th minute on an assist from Brett Rothberg.
Beacon hosts Our Lady of Lourdes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Yorktown 1, Lourdes 0 — The Huskers’ Michael Reynolds scored the game’s only goal in the 24th minute.
