Ting Chen placed first in two individual events to lead the Arlington High School boys swimming and diving team in a 92-72 home victory over Beacon at Poughkeepsie Middle School.
Chen won in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 17.55 seconds, and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.17.
The Admirals prevailed in the 200-yard individual medley, where they took the top three places. The team of David Scholes, Matt Murphy, Mathew Mangan and Daniel Muenkel finished first in 1:52.38.
Murphy placed first in the 50 freestyle — his time of 24.04 was two-tenths of a second faster than that of Beacon’s Nicholas Negron — and teammate Edmond Ma won the 200 freestyle (2:02.10).
Negron finished first in the 100 freestyle, touching the wall in 53.13, 14-hundredths of a second faster than Scholes.
Muenkel (500 freestyle, 5:40.81) and Joe O’Connor (100 backstroke, 1:01.95) also won individual events for Arlington, which won the 200 freestyle relay.
With Arlington swimming exhibition, Beacon’s Andres Munoz took first in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.17), as did the Bulldogs’ 400 freestyle relay team (3:59.90).
