Boys tennis: Lincoln rolls to shutout win

The Manitowoc Lincoln boys basketball team was missing one of its top doubles players, and coach Bob Feller had to be creative with Wednesday’s lineup against Sheboygan South.

It either worked real well or it didn’t matter, as the Ships rolled to a 7-0 shutout victory in the Fox River Classic Conference dual meet.

Senior Jake Rohrer, normally half of Lincoln’s No. 1 doubles tandem was out, but Mike Olson and Jonah Mrozinsky teamed up for a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the flight.

The Ships didn’t drop a set all afternoon, and No. 1 singles player David Wronkowski also picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Singles: No. 1 — David Wronkowski def. Austin Davis 6-0, 6-0; No. 2 — Ethan Just def. Octavio Doredondo 6-3, 6-0; No. 3 — Nick Schroeder def. Toua Yang 6-1, 6-0; No. 4 — Jim Lee def. Chad Larson 6-1, 6-4.
