Boys Tennis: Sheboygan North finishes fourth in FRCC


Notre Dame’s boys tennis team secured a first-place finish in the Fox River Classic Conference after winning the league’s end-of-season tournament Wednesday and Thursday.

Sheboygan North’s Gabe Galante won his No. 4 singles bracket and teammate Travis Waibel secured second in his No. 2 singles bracket to lead the Golden Raiders, who slid into fourth place in the tournament and fourth in the conference standings.

Sheboygan South ended tied for 10th in the standings with Green Bay East.

North’s Morgan Ross and Evan Koross secured fourth place in their Nos. 1 and 3 singles brackets, respectively. The Golden Raiders’ No. 3 doubles partners Sam Kuhn and Paul Theodoroff took fourth in their own bracket.

South’s Austin Davis finished seventh in the No. 1 singles bracket, and Redwings teammates Sergio Pulido and Colton Wickland took seventh in No. 3 doubles.

The Falcons’ Jake Musil won his No. 1 singles match without dropping a game, and Nathan Berg and Ben Washatko took their No. 1 doubles match in straight sets to help lead Sheboygan Falls to Thursday’s shutout win.
