Webster Groves (Mo.) held off a late rally by Jackson (Mo.) to win Saturday’s Class 5 state quarterfinal matchup, 42-39. The Statesmen got a huge day from junior wide receiver Cam Hilton, who finished with nine catches for 118 yards and three touchdowns. This one-handed grab in the end zone was especially nice:
“One game away from state, nothing feels better than that,” Hilton told the Southeast Missourian.
An #SCTop10 appearance would feel pretty good, too.
