The Cougars had little trouble with the Spartans in a Division 2 regional semifinal, leading 4-0 at halftime and then scoring twice in the second half after a 45-minute lightning delay.

“It was good to see we were able to stay focused and get back into it,” Campbellsport coach Tim Scannell.

Five different players scored for Campbellsport (12-4), including two goals by sophomore Brooke Birschbach. She also has two assists, while her sister Paige had a goal and an assist and the other scores came from Becca Ruplinger, Cady Oestrich and Hannah Mrochinski — who scored her first varsity goal.

The Cougars will play at Denmark Saturday at 1 p.m. in a regional final.
