Campbellsport soccer drops season finale, 4-1

Plymouth 4, Campbellsport 1

Despite a 4-1 loss, Campbellsport head coach Tim Scannell was proud of the way his girls played against a very good Plymouth team.

“We went 60 minutes without giving up a goal and we played a nice second half after falling early out,” Scannell said. “We are the only team in the EWC to score against them, too.”

Plymouth scored two goals within the first 10 minutes and one more at the 15th minute to take a 3-0 lead, but didn’t score until the 76th minute after that.

The Cougars got its lone goal at the 71st minute from 12-yards out from Tiffany Anderson.

“Tiffany has been flat and for her to come out right before playoffs start is a good sign,” Scannell said.

Emma Sippel led the way with four saves for Campbellsport.
