The Christian Academy boys’ basketball team jumped out to a 16-4 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 62-47 victory over host North Bullitt of Kentucky on Thursday night.
“It was a great overall team effort,” Christian Academy coach Steve Kerberg said. “It was nice to get a win like this.”
Devonta King had 17 points and six rebounds, and Aaron Hayes added 15 points and six rebounds to lead a well-balanced attack for the Warriors (8-9).
Ricky Dunnavan scored 11 points to pace the Eagles (13-16).
Kerberg likes the way his team is playing heading into sectionals.
“I think we are starting to jell, and it’s a good time to do that,” he said.
