DENVER – Christian McCaffrey, a do-everything back at Valor Christian, has decided to play ball at Stanford University.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound McCaffrey had at least 16 scholarship offers, including offers from Michigan, Oregon, Vanderbilt, Oregon State, Nebraska, Iowa and even hometown favorites Colorado and Colorado State.

Christian did not rest on the laurels of his father’s football accomplishments though. McCaffrey scored more than 40 touchdowns in his junior year. He played running back, receiver and on special teams.

McCaffrey is a son of former Broncos, and Stanford, wide receiver Ed McCaffrey. Christian’s mom, Lisa, lettered for three years as a Cardinal in soccer.
