DEPEW, N.Y.-Cleveland Hill moved into the Section 6 Class C championship game for the third straight season with a 36-6 win over Lackawanna Saturday afternoon at Depew.

Golden Eagles head coach Glen Graham told Two On Your Side’s Stu Boyar “obviously we’re happy with the win. We’re proud of this group for making school history by going to the Section 6 finals for the third straight year.”

Cleveland Hill got off to a flying start when Aaron Jackson return the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Jackson rushed for 71 yards on 4 carries. Brandon Thomas had 71 yards on 13 carries. Jermaine Hairston and Anthony Sullivan had 13 yard touchdown runs for Cleveland Hill. Steven MacIllwain returned a fumble 82 yards for a touchdown. Defensively MacIllwain chipped in with ten tackles. Josh White also had ten tackles and an interception. Keon Crawford had a five yard touchdown run for the Golden Eagles.

Cleveland Hill will play Fredonia next Saturday afternoon at Ralph Wilson Stadium for the Section 6 Class Championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 1-pm.
