Cranford drew the top seed for the Union County Baseball Tournament in a meeting of the coaches on Monday night.
The defending Group III champion has won seven UCT titles since 1999.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood is the second seed. Defending champion Westfield is seeded third, Governor Livingston is fourth and Elizabeth is fifth.
The UCT preliminary round will be held Thursday with three games, followed by the first round on Saturday. The quarterfinals are slated for May 1. All three rounds will be held at the home field of the higher seed.
The semifinals are scheduled for May 4 at a site that has yet been determined, and the final will commence 2 p.m. May 11 at Kean University in Union.
