Junior lefty Katie Haley threw a two-hit shutout, walked one and struck out six Friday to lead the Mount St. Mary Academy softball team to a 1-0 victory over Valley Division rival Belvidere in Watchung.

Haley Kochanski picked up two hits for the Mount Lions (6-4), while Andrea Sanders drove in the game’s lone run in the fourth inning.

Belvidere falls to 11-3.

Watchung Hills 3, Governor Livingston 1: Steph Huff went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and Meghan Kovac, Deanna Gonnella and Jess Gaeta each drove in a run for Watchung Hills (9-3). Katie Morrison went 1-for-3 and drove in the only Governor Livingston (8-4) run.

South Plainfield 11, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 0 (5 inn.): South Plainfield (11-3) was led by Haley Hlavka’s three hits and two RBI. Mary Coloney, Arielle Zuaro and Kelly Yeager all had one hit for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (4-11).

East Brunswick 5, Hunterdon Central 0: Gabrielle Kelliher went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI to lead East Brunswick over Hunterdon Central. Lauren Assennata pitched a one-hitter, striking out five to earn the victory. Shelby Lipson and Lauren Cram each recorded a pair of hits for East Brunswick. Sarah Merlo has the lone Hunterdon Central hit of the day.

Monroe
14, Bridgewater-Raritan 4: Marisa Monaserri finished 3-for-6 with three RBI while teammates Kendra Barlotta, Cindy Foresta and Casey Schieda drove in two RBI each for Monroe (11-2). Lauren Gorski drove in a pair of runs for Bridgewater-Raritan (4-9).

Pingry 16, Manville 0 (5 inn.): Rebecca Hoyt collected three hits and drove in three runs for Pingry as they held Manville hitless through five innings.

North Plainfield 10, South Hunterdon 9: Amaree Gardner went 3-for-4 with a home run and Jordan Rowan collected two hits and two RBI to lead North Plainfield (2-7). Megan Donnelly hit two home runs for South Hunterdon.

Gill St. Bernard’s 13, Bound Brook 3: Kennedy Whitehead went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs for Gill; St. Bernard’s.

Timothy Christian 16, East Brunswick Tech 6: Amanda Labib drove in five runs and Jenna Collier plated three for Timothy Christian
