Colorado Academy Beats Cherry Creek for 2nd consecutive Field Hockey title

Colorado Academy beat Cherry Creek 2-0 in the state field hockey championshipgame Monday at All-City Stadium in Denver.

Henley Hall scored early in the first half and Julia Murphy added a goal inthe second half. The Mustangs win their second consecutive state championshipand again do it with an undefeated season. C.A. finished the year a perfect17-0. A year ago the Mustangs were 16-0-2 and state champions. All in allColorado Academy is riding a 35 game unbeaten streak. They haven’t lost sincethe state championship game in 2011.

Head coach Dan Polders call this years team a “special group” and creditsthem for buying to the teams philosophy. Polders has headed up the C.A. programfor two years now and hasn’t lost a game.
