School: Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, Colo.)
Grade: Junior
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5-foot-8
Weight: 138 pounds

Athletic achievement: He scored 16 goals and passed for five assists this past season, leading the Bruins (11-6-2) to the Class 5A state tournament semifinals. The All-Colorado Player of the Year as named by the Denver Post and the Colorado Soccer Coaches Association Class 5A Player of the Year, Jaime was also an All-American honoree by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He concluded his junior year with 30 goals and 13 assists in his prep soccer career.

Academic excellence: Jaime has maintained a B average.

Exemplary character: He has volunteered locally for Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Hispanic Leadership Club at Cherry Creek High. He as also donated his time collecting soccer equipment for underprivileged children through the Colorado Rush R.E.A.C.H. program.


“Miguel Jaime was the catalyst for Cherry Creek and was a dangerous player,” said Brian Wood, head coach of Grandview (Aurora, Colo.). “Miguel sees the field better than any player I saw this year.”

THE FUTURE: Jaime will be a senior next year.
