Columbine beat Grand Junction 41-6 in a 5A playoff game Friday at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood.
Michael Tait threw for a touchdown and rushed for two more for the Rebels who were up 41-0 at one point. Austin Norton and Jeremy Aparicio each scored two touchdowns in the win.
Columbine is now 10-1 and will take on Valor Christian in the 5A quarterfinals. However the Rebels could be with out star running back Bernard McDondle next week. McDondle was helped off the field early in the second half after suffering a leg injury.
Grand Junction’s season comes to an end with an 8-3 record.
