School: The Hotchkiss School (Lakeville, Conn.)
Grade: Senior
Position: Forward
Height: 5-foot-8

Athletic achievement: He scored 16 goals and passed for five assists this past season, leading the Bearcats (9-5-2) to the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class A tournament quarterfinals. The 2012 Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association Prep School Player of the Year and an All-American selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, Normesinu participated in the High School Soccer All-American Game in December. He concluded his prep soccer career with 40 goals and 19 assists.

Academic excellence: Normesinu has maintained a B average.

Exemplary character: A native of Ghana, he has volunteered as a mentor to new international students at Hotchkiss and as a teacher’s aide at a local elementary school.


“Isaac is a dynamic attacking player,” said Owen Finberg, head coach of South Kent (Conn.) School. “He has blistering pace and is very dangerous on the ball. He is creative and very good taking players on. He is someone that you have to account for every minute of the match.”

THE FUTURE: Normesinu will attend Boston College.
