Junior midfielder Spencer Passmore finished with three goals as Corning rallied for a 13-11 win over Ithaca High on Tuesday night in Section 4 boys lacrosse at Corning Memorial Stadium at Corning-Painted Post East High School.

The Little Red (14-2) led 6-4 at halftime and 7-4 early in the third quarter before the Hawks (12-4) rebounded with four straight goals, including three consecutive man-up scores.

Jordan Crusha scored twice and Jon-Michael Tokar and Passmore each added another during that run for the Hawks. Tokar finished with two goals and one assist for the Hawks, who will face Binghamton in the Section 4 Class A semifinal. The winner will advance to meet top-seeded Ithaca.

Nick Nehring recorded 11 saves for the win, while Ithaca’s Eh Tha Da stopped five shots.

The Corning combined team defeated Ithaca for the first time. Corning East defeated Ithaca in 2009.

Charlie Estill scored with 10:50 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 9-9 for the Little Red.

Matt Farwell then scored twice nine seconds apart to give the Hawks the lead for good.
