Coshocton swimming sweeps meet


The Coshocton girls and boys swimming teams swept Newark and Northridge today.

The boys beat the Wildcats (65-14) and the Vikings (56-37), and the girls defeated Newark (71-21) and Northridge (67-22).

Marc Smith led the way individually for the Redskin boys, winning the 200 freestyle (2:14.07) and 100 backstroke (1:08.85).

Alex Wheeler also won two events, taking the 200 individual medley (2:28.33) and 100 butterfly (1:05.4).

Other winners included Cody McVay in the 50 freestyle (28.84), Bryce Philabaum in the 100 free (1:00.09).

The boys also won the 200 medley (2:04.87), 200 free (1:48.58), and the 400 free (5:09.56) relays.

The girls were led by multiple winners.

Emily Hartley took the 50 free (39.87), Sydney Ringenberg won the 100 fly (1:32.56), Peyton Bair the 100 free (1:14.08) and Kaitlyn Salmans the 400 free (5:17.97),

Coshocton also won the 200 medley (2:42.93), 200 free (2:13.15), and 400 free (5:10.94) relays.
