A time of 20 minutes, 31.4 seconds was good enough to earn Lakota’s Cariss Reese third-place overall in the girls 5K run during Saturday’s Bucyrus Elks Invitational.

Luke Baker ran 18:20.59 to take 18th in the boys race as the Raiders finished eighth as a group. Caleb Tolento placed 37th and Isaac Ritter 45th.

St. Joseph Central Catholic’s Nate Rosengarten was right behind Baker in 19th. Also for the 10th-place Crimson Streaks, Tyler Nason took 49th and Sam Reiter was 53rd.

Brooke Foster paced the 12th-place SJCC girls, finishing 21st in 22:36.80, while Chloe Liebold was 35th and Sarah Franks was 54th. Lakota was 15th,
