The Golden Gales were at the Mason Invitational on a European-style course on Saturday

Stephen Sparks (10th) and Nick Weaver (13th) led the Golden Gales to a sixth-place finish. Noah Ball (42nd), Isaak Kaiser (54th) and Nick Bosser (88th) completed the scoring for the Gales, with James Fox and Grant Luby filling out the Gales top seven.

A total of 30 Division I teams and 275 runners competed in the Championship race.

Justin Nauman led all Golden Gale finishers in the Mason Freshman-Sophomore race, taking 29th of 456 finishers in a huge and crowded race. The Gales finished seventh in the Freshman-Sophomore Race.

Scott Gayfield was the top Lancaster finisher in the Mason Junior-Senior, finishing 21st of 277 runners in his first-ever cross country race. The Gales also finished seventh in the Junior-Senior Race.

Six Gales set new season or all-time personal bests despite the difficult course and tough racing conditions.
