Danbury wins on track in TAAC


Tori Wright won the discus, Erin Lavelle the high jump and Katie Almendinger the pole vault Tuesday as Danbury’s girls track team topped Emmanuel Christian and Northwood in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.

Austin Morin won the shot put and discus, David Gast the pole vault and James Dorko the 110 hurdles as the Lakers’ boys were also first.

Mollie Knighton won the 400, Lindsay Mark the 110 hurdles and Alyssa Almendinger the 300 hurdles for Danbury’s girls. Knighton, Megan Stephens, Andrea Dodd and Lauren Kalinoski won the 4×800 relay while the Almendingers, Kelsey Clemons and Mark took the 4×200 relay.

Clemons returns to competition after missing the basketball season with a knee injury.

Tyler Waggoner, Dorko, Jim Chamberlain and Cody German won the 4×100 relay for the Lakers’ boys.
