THE WINNER: Alexis Prillaman


School: Caesar Rodney (Camden, Del.)
Grade: Junior
Position: Forward
Height: 5-foot-9

Athletic achievement: She led the Riders to a 14-1 record entering the state postseason tournament’s opening round, where they are scheduled to face St. Mark’s (Wilmington, Del.) on May 21. Prillaman scored 34 goals and passed for 14 assists in the regular season. A First Team All-State selection, she was also the Henlopen Conference Player of the Year. 

Academic excellence: Prillaman has maintained an A average.

Exemplary character: Also a basketball and field hockey standout, she has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics, environmental preservation initiatives and the U.S. Youth Soccer TOPSoccer program. 


“Prillaman is an awesome athlete and a very good player,” said Keith Short, head coach at Milford (Del.). “She can shoot with either foot, she’s comfortable with the ball at her feet and she makes runs into correct spaces.”

THE FUTURE: Prillaman will be a senior next year.
