KUSA – Dior Hall, the two time state champion from George Washington, set a new U.S. youth record at the World Youth Championships earlier today, finishing second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.01.
Hall finished just behind Yanique Thompson of Jamaica, who set a world youth best of 12.94.
Mikiah Brisco, who also represented the U.S. finished third with a time of 13.29, which was also a personal best.
Leading up to the final, Hall set a new personal best in each race, finishing with a time of 13.39 in her first heat and 13.16 in the semifinal, before shattering both times and setting the U.S. youth record of 13.01.
Hall will be a senior next year at George Washington and look to win her third state championship in four years.
