* The improvement of QB Matt Sgro has prompted coach Bill DiNardo to diversify the offense. Sgro has two big targets on the outside in 6-foot-7 Brian O’Neill (who is headed to Pittsburgh) and 6-4 Tyler Marroni. Sallies still runs a lot, of course, with 230-pound bruiser Troy Reeder carrying the load behind a big offensive line. On defense, Reeder has committed to Penn State as a linebacker, O’Neill uses his reach to deflect passes and Lou Fedele, Michael Sanzone and Colby Reeder can make plays in the secondary.SALESIANUM RECAP:

* QB Darius Wade (131-197 passing, 2,445 yards, 34 TDs) is making his 48th career start before enrolling at Boston College in January. WR Chris Godwin (47 catches, 1,144 yards, 17 TDs) is another four-year starter headed to Penn State, and fellow WRs Dennis Berger (33 catches, 676 yards, 10 TDs), Elisha Sewell (23-282-4) and Garrett Maniatis (21-350-6) also light up the board. SS Godwin (57 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 4 INTs) may be even better on defense, and LBs Erich Schneider (75 tackles) and Luke Elentrio (78) solidify the middle.MIDDLETOWN RECAP:

Salesianum must exploit its size advantage to keep pressure on Wade. Godwin can take over a game by himself, but Sallies somehow contained him and held Middletown to 13 points in the first meeting. Reeder rushed for 220 yards and two TDs in the first game, which helped the Sals control the clock. Wade and Godwin will do everything they can to finish two of the brightest careers in Delaware high school football history with a third straight state title.ANALYSIS:
