VIENNA – Coach Jimmy Hughes returns 7 starters on defense minus the front four including former Bobcat turn Auburn Tiger Montravius Adams.
Hughes also boasts his largest senior class with 16 since he arrived 3 years ago. He says speed will be the name of the game this season as they move forward from the shadow of last season and an 11-3 finish and look forward to kickoff Friday night.
Hughes adds, “It was a great year but you know you don’t get long to celebrate in this business. We were finished with that after the Christmas holidays were done. Our kids have been working in the weight room and the field since January getting ready to start this thing over again. That group of seniors was a special group of outstanding athletes and good students. But I think this group is ready to claim their own legacy.”
The Bobcats host Macon County Friday night at the Grove.
