Eastern Valley Conference football: Freedom defense shuts out Winneconne

The Freedom Irish defense shut down the Winneconne Wolves 28-0 in an Eastern Valley Conference game in Winneconne on Friday.

Freedom’s Eric Schommer intercepted three passes and Colin Hofacker picked off one. Tyler Behle, Matt Evers and Kyle Schmidt recorded sacks.

Nathan Peters led the charge for the Irish offense, running for 92 yards on 36 carries and scoring three touchdowns.
