Elite 11 football: These players should lead the way in 2013

By

This year’s Elite 11 is definitely showcasing some muscle entering the 2013 season.

The collection of top athletes includes three offensive linemen, including a phenomenal junior in Seymour’s Jon Dietzen, who has secured Division I scholarship offers from Wisconsin and Nebraska.
And let’s not forget his teammate Luke Elsner, the rangy 6-foot-4 defensive end who totaled 17.5 sacks last season for the Thunder.
Last season’s Post-Crescent athlete of the year in football, Nathan Peters of Freedom, also returns after being the state’s leading rusher last season. And on defense, Appleton North super safety Connor Rolain is the group’s only two-time selection to the Eilte 11.
What does all of this mean? Well, you would be hard-pressed to find a better group of football players north of the greater Milwaukee area. So be sure to head out on Fridays this fall and check out the great talent the area has to offer.
