EUREKA, Mo. (KSDK) – A Eureka High School student has been named the 2012-2013 Gatorade Missouri Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year.
Hannah Long was awarded the recognition for her sophomore season in which she won three individual state titles and helped her team place 17th at the Class 4 state meet.
Long won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.06, the 1600-meter run in 4:49.53, and the first leg of the 4×800-meter relay.
Gatorade has presented the award to distinguished athletes for the last 28 years. Long is the third EHS student to receive the award.
