Farragut comes from behind to beat Sevier County, 8-5. The Admirals advance to state tournament.
After falling behind 5-2 early, Farragut got the big inning in the 4th just as the rain started to fall.
With the bases loaded Sam Schulze ripped a shot to short that was mishandled and allowed a run to score and keep the bases juiced. The next batter, Duncan Pence, smoked a shot to third that also was misplayed and allowed the bases stay loaded.
After a pitching change, some hard rain, and a couple of sacrifice flies, the Admirals went up 6-5 and would go to win 8-5.
Farragut advances to Spring Fling next week in Murfreesboro. Other local schools also advancing in baseball:
Pigeon Forge with a 10-0 win over Greeneville.
Rockwood 2-1 over Unaka
In softball:
Seymour, Maryville, Gibbs, and Oliver Springs.
