Maddy Feeney struck with 10 seconds left in the second overtime as Burlington seized a 3-2 win over Colchester in a high school girls soccer battle at Buck Hard Field on Tuesday night.
Feeney finished with two goals while Kaitlin Donahue assisted on Feeney’s winner and supplied a first-half goal for the Seahorses (6-3).
Brenna McMannon and Brittany Isabelle had Colchester’s goals.
Lucie Hladik made three saves for Burlington while Haley Jestings turned away 12 shots for Colchester.
* Champlain Valley 8, South Burlington 0: Haliana Burhans supplied a hat trick, Audrey Morehouse added two goals and an assist and host Champlain Valley rolled past South Burlington.
Burhans and Morehouse scored 13 seconds apart in the 11th minute to get things rolling for the 9-0 Redhawks. Sierra Morton had two goals on Laura Jennings’ passes in the second half and Emma Davitt also tallied.
South Burlington’s Morgan Mahar had 12 saves. Maddie Turnau turned away two shots for CVU.
* Essex 3 BFA-St. Albans 2: Charlotte Stuart’s third goal came in the 79th minute as visiting Essex forged ahead to beat BFA-St. Albans.
Stuart’s three goals also included a first-half penalty kick.
Taylor Knapp scored in each half for BFA (6-3).
Essie Fiore made eight saves for the Hornets (6-2-1). Dani Schreiner racked up 11 stops for BFA.
Rice 2, Mount Abraham 1, OT: Lindsay Swanson put away a chance on a corner kick four minutes into overtime, lifting host Rice past Mount Abraham.
Riley Mitiguy assisted on the winner and Hailee Barron had Rice’s other goal, a curling corner kick in the fifth minute.
Mount Abraham’s Harlie Vincent scored an unassisted tally in the 70th minute for the equalizer.
Macie Sicard stopped eight shots for the Green Knights (5-3). Ashlie Fay collected 19 saves for the Eagles (6-3).
Mount Mansfield 1, Spaulding 0, OT: Alanna Scott scored on a counter attack 4:35 into the first overtime in Mount Mansfield’s win at Spaulding.
Colby Knight set up Scott’s winner and Sarah Knakal stopped nine shots for 5-4 MMU.
Megan LeCours made seven saves for Spaulding (4-4).
Danville 2, Winooski 0: Samantha Prescott and Pam Greaves scored in each half to drive Danville past visiting Winooski.
Dani Cochran made nine saves for Danville (4-5), while Michaela Metivier stopped a dozen shots for Winooski (4-5).
Harwood 3, Northfield 0: Taylor Yandow had a goal in each half to pace visiting Harwood past Northfield.
Amy Graham also scored for Harwood, which led 2-0 at the break. Lauren Harper did make a save while in net for the Highlanders.
Northfield’s DJ Doney and Lydia Hoffman combined to make 13 saves.
Oxbow 2, Lake Region 1: Corrina Oakley’s goal with 2:15 play gave Oxbow the win at Lake Region.
Becca Towle also tallied for Oxbow. Tyrah Urie struck for Lake Region.
* Stowe 3, Montpelier 0: Ali Leach, Ashley Raymond and Darien Boerger scored in Stowe’s win over visiting Montpelier.
Rutland 2, Middlebury 0: Jordan DelBianco and Alexandra Duffy had the goals in Rutland’s win over visiting Middlebury.
* Enosburg 3, Richford 0: Cassie Collins scored twice to lead Enosburg to victory over Richford.
Chloe Longe also scored and Megan Bosely stopped a dozen shots for Enosburg.
Richford’s Gabby Coons made 18 saves.
Champlain Valley 1, Mount Mansfield 0: Amanda Whitbeck put away a Lauren Macy assist with 19 seconds left in the first half in host Champlain Valley’s narrow win over Mount Mansfield.
Evangeline Dunphy worked a three-save shutout for the Redhawks (6-1-1). MMU’s Jordynn Chandler made six saves.
Mount Abraham 5, Colchester 0: Samantha Reiss provided two goals and an assist as visiting Mount Abraham ran past Colchester.
Bailey Sherwin and Samantha Driscoll also scored and Danielle Morris made one save for the 6-3 Eagles. Abby Ladd stopped 10 shots for Colchester (1-8).
Essex 4, South Burlington 0: A trio of second-half goals triggered Essex’s home win over South Burlington.
Paige Mittl had a goal and an assist for Essex (6-1-2), which has won six straight. Mittl, Emily Dowman and Kathleen Young had the second-half strikes.
Siena Teare tallied in the first half and Mara Grant and Mady Corkum split time in net for the Hornets.
Alex Warshaw made 18 saves for the Rebels (4-3-2).
* Middlebury 2, Burlington 1: Lauren Bartlett and Mikayla Hummiston staked Middlebury to a 2-0 halftime lead in its win at Burlington.
Erica Lyon had Burlington’s goal and Devin Libby made five saves. Baily Ryan stopped 12 shots for Middlebury.
Blue Mountain 3 and South Royalton 0: Brendan Winchester scored two goals in the first six minutes, Willis Page added a goal and host Blue Mountain blanked South Royalton.
Anthony Kalnins had the assists on Winchester’s early goals and Mark Puffer worked a nine-save shutout.
* Williamstown 1, Rivendell 0: Brandon Morande’s goal with 10 minutes left gave host Williamstown a win over Rivendell.
Caston Roy made five saves for Williamstown (9-0-1).
* Trinity Baptist 3, Waldorf 0: Creighton North scored twice and Jonathan Genova also tallied in Trinity’s win.
Jack Barton and Genova combined to stop five shots each for Trinity.
