Greenville, SC (WLTX) — With football practice cranking up this Friday, one of the last remaining opportunities for high school coaches to relax before the preseason grind begins is taking place this week in Greenville.
The South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Clinic brings in high school coaches from all sports for a week of instruction that can help them with their respective sports.
Guest speakers this year had an ACC flair with Duke head football coach David Cutcliffe and North Carolina women’s basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell on the docket.
The in-state coaches were not left out as USC running backs coach Everette Sands and Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables spoke at Wednesday’s FCA luncheon.
Even though football was the main topic this week, the other sports have a place at the clinic as this week gives them a chance to learn about any new rules and regulations in place for the upcoming year.
