As a late bloomer in last year’s recruiting class, Tennessee point guard Darius Thompson is far from new to the spotlight.
Thompson, a 6-foot-5, 181-pound freshman from Murfreesboro was ranked as high as the No. 4 overall combo guard in the nation by ESPN.com and should be a steady contributor at the point guard position.
The freshmen sat down with the Knoxville News Sentinel on Oct. 9 to discuss his passion for the game — from childhood through college — and his transition from a Blackman High School star to first-year college basketball player.
