(WLTX) — After just one practice session in Samford, Florida, Scott Earley has resigned as head coach of Seminole High School, that according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The paper quotes Earley who says some contractual issues were the reason why he is returning to the Palmetto State. Earley’s family would not be eligible for medical benefits until December
Earley won a state championhip at Myrtle Beach High School in 2008 before moving to Chapin in 2009. That was followed by a three-year stint at Lexington High School.
“Leaving didn’t have anything to do with football,” Earley said Wednesday in the interview with the Sentinel.
“We just had some contractual issues that didn’t work out like we assumed they would. That’s our fault for assuming. That’s by no means the fault of [the] Seminole school district,” Earley said. “It’s our fault for not asking the right questions.”
