The City High baseball team swept the Rams in a doubleheader Friday in Dubuque.
Michael Haring got the win on the mound and Josh Crosby picked up the save. The two combined for five hits and six strikeouts. The Little Hawks were led by by Mitch Wieland, who went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run and four RBIs. Grant Simpson added a three-run homer.
City won the second game 6-3 and Tyler Stika got the win on the mound. Nate Goddard led with two hits including a three-RBI double. Stika and Sam Mrstik each added two hits.
City (14-14) will head back to Dubuque for a doubleheader against Wahlert with first pitched scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday.
* WEST BRANCH 12, NORTH CEDAR 2 (5): The Bears beat the Knights in a makeup game game in West Branch.
Tyler Donovan got the win, pitching five innings, giving up three hits, two earned runs, and striking out two. Nevin Tucker went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double. Cole Cook and Max Cober were each 2-for-4 with RBIs. Tom Schreiber was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a double while Austin Black went 2-for-3.
West Branch (10-16 overall, 7-11 in CVC) will host Regina for senior night at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
* SOLON 4-12 WILLIAMSBURG 0-7: The Spartans got their sixth and seventh wins in a row Friday night against the Raiders.
Todd Oberthien got the win in the first game, striking out 14 and moving his record to 4-2.
Nathan Hawkins (3-2) was the winning pitcher in the second game and Mitch Silberstein got the save.
Solon is now 18-8.
* HIGHLAND 3, IMS 2: Highland topped IMS on Friday night at home.
Reggie Hostetler went 2-for-4 for IMS (10-13) while Tyler Messer and Brent Brenneman each had RBIs.

* SOLON 7, CLEAR CREEK AMANA 3: The Spartans took care of business against the Clippers Thursday night. Dalton Ferguson was the winning pitcher for Solon.
