Josh Michaels hit Carlton Ekiyor for a 38-yard touchdown with just over two minutes remaining to tie the game and Chris Carlson kicked the extra point to give Brockport a come-from-behind 27-26 victory over East in a non-league game Friday night.
Michaels rolled out to his left and found Ekiyor behind the defense in the end zone.
Cam Smith caught a 23-yard touchdown from Justin Noye to put East ahead 26-10 with eight minutes remaining.
Carlson kicked a 37-yard field goal and Ekiyor caught his first TD from Michaels with about 3:30 left.
Johovon Paige then intercepted a pass at the East 40-yard line to set up the winning score.
Michaels finished 7-for-13 for 162 yards and three TDs and Ekiyor hauled in four passes for 65 yards and the two scores and also added an interception.
The Blue Devils clinched the No. 1 seed in the Section V Class A playoffs beginning next Friday.
Noye rushed for 97 yards and two scores and threw for a TD for East (5-2).
Aquinas 48, Buffalo St. Francis 7
Jake Zembiec completed 6 of 11 passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns to lead Aquinas (7-0).
Senior linebacker Charlie Rist totaled six tackles and Al-Tron Webb added five tackles, three for loss, and two sacks for the Little Irish.
Aquinas held St. Francis to just 85 yards of offense through the first three quarters.
Senior safety Donato Clemente picked off a pair of passes and returned one 45 yards for a score.
Livonia 28, Honeoye Falls-Lima 7
Mike English ran for 145 yards and a score on 30 carries and Josh Henderson added 137 yards and a score on 21 carries to lead Livonia (6-1).
English also caught a 40-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
Connor Pierce finished 8-for-12 for 114 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
The Bulldogs intercepted three passes, including a 35-yard return for a score by Brandon Snyder to make the score 21-7 lead.
Dan Hart threw for 168 yards for HF-L.
Webster Schroeder 39, Fairport 7
Senior tailback Bam Akinniyi finished with 290 yards rushing and three TDs on 22 carries and caught three passes for 67 yards to lead Schroeder.
All three of Akinniyi’s touchdowns were at least 49 yards long and he now has 21 scores on the season.
He ran for more than 300 yards earlier in the season.
Brett Segela completed 12 of 19 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown and scored on a bootleg in the first quarter.
The Warriors, who will be the No. 3 seed in the Class AA playoffs, recorded four sacks and two interceptions.
Marquise Young ran for 110 yards and a TD on 19 carries for Fairport (3-4).
Victor 44, Penfield 0
Mike Kahovec ran for 112 yards and a touchdown, and the Victor (5-2) defense held Penfield to 100 yards of offense while recording two two interceptions and fumble recovery.
Luke Bartkoski returned an interception for a TD in the third quarter and Christian Johnson had 1½ sacks for the Blue Devils.
Penfield is 1-6.
Hilton 26, Gates Chili 7
Dillon Philmon ran for 216 yards and two touchdowns on 37 carries to lead Hilton (4-3).
Philmon ripped off a 40-yard run in the fourth quarter that led to his second TD and gave the Cadets a 19-0 lead.
Hilton held Gates Chili (2-5) to 93 yards of offense, 57 coming on the ground from Myles McFadden.
Nate DelValle had 10 tackles in the win.
East Rochester/Gananda 27, Wayne 21
Zach Houser connected with Andrew Fischer for a 33-yard TD with five minutes remaining to give the Bombers (6-1) the lead.
Wayne (4-3) turned the ball over on downs near midfield with three minutes left.
ER/Gananda was able to convert two first downs to run out the clock and earn a share of the Finger Lakes East title.
Senior Jake Miller gained 242 yards on 18 carries and Kendrick Watson added 148 yards and a TD on 14 carries for the Bombers.
Houser finished 6 of 9 for 85 yards in the win.
Newark 20, Geneva 7
Phil Tack ran for 123 yards and a touchdown and was 8-for-20 for 142 yards and a score for Newark (6-1).
Newark finishes tied with Geneva and ER/Gananda for a share of the Finger Lakes East division title.
Geneva is 6-1.
Caledonia-Mumford 34, LeRoy 29
Joe Cappotelli broke free up the middle for a 46-yard touchdown with 6:27 left in the fourth quarter to give Cal-Mum (6-1) a 34-26 lead and the Red Raiders hung on in their rivalry game.
John Pierce capped off a Le Roy (6-1) 37-yard drive with a 30-yard field goal with 3:09 left to cut Cal-Mum’s lead to 34-29.
Le Roy went for an onside kick after the score, but Cappotelli recovered for the Red Raiders.
Senior quarterback Kurtis Haut finished with 248 yards rushing and three TDs on 24 carries in the win.
The Red Raiders are currently in the No. 3 spot in the Section V Class DD playoff.
Geneseo 32, York 20
Cory Valentine scored the final of his three touchdowns early in the fourth quarter to break a 20-20 tie for Geneseo (3-4).
Wellsville 28, Letchworth 14
Tyler Brion ran for 116 yards and a TD on 13 carries and Dusty Baldwin completed 5 of 5 passes for 104 yards and a TD for Wellsville (3-4).
Attica 28, Batavia Notre Dame 14
Matt Perry ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries and Jake Strzelec added 67 yards and a TD on nine carries for Attica, which earned a share of the Genesee Region title with Batavia Notre Dame (6-1).
Alexander 41, Pembroke 0
Nelson Burke completed 4 of 6 passes for 100 yards and three TDs, while Dylan Scharlau had 118 yards rushing and a score for Alexander (6-1).
