(WUSA9) — Monday, WUSA 9’s Dave Owens reports that a Friendship Collegiate Assistant coach has been placed on probation for a year for recruiting violations. We are told the complaint against Friendship Collegiate that led to this action involved four schools.
At the end of May, District’s state athletic governing body (DCSAA) confirmed that two complaints involving recruiting were filed against Friendship Collegiate Academy. Clark Ray, Director of Athletics for Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), said one complaint was from Wilson High School and the other from DCIAA.
Ray said his office notified Friendship Collegiate of the complaints and requested information them.
We will have more details on WUSA 9 at 5 and 6 p.m.
