At Appleton, Sara Hagmann’s driving layup fell in at the buzzer to lift the Patriots to the win.

“She made a play,” East coach Joe La Chapell said. “She just stepped up and wanted the ball and came and got it. We set up a play and we didn’t run it. Sara recognized it, came and got it and made a play.”

Hagmann finished with 18 points and Mayra Villagomez added 11 for East (3-0, 2-0).

At Appleton, Mackenzie Greisch scored 11 points as the Lightning used a big second quarter to keep the Ghosts at bay.

“We shot egregiously bad,” North coach Joe Russom said. “We were 12 of 57 from the field. We had 14 offensive rebounds, which kept us alive.”

Taylor Ball led Kaukauna with seven points.

At Oshkosh, Ashley Schoen made five three-pointers and scored a career-high 18 points to lead the Spartans.

Katelyn Sewall scored 13 points to lead Menasha.

At Oshkosh, Rachel Christopherson sank four free throws in the final 50 seconds and finished with a game-high 19 points to lift the Wildcats past the Rockets.

Rylee Engelland helped keep Neenah close throughout as she scored 18 points.

West had taken leads of 14-7 after one and 24-15 at halftime, but Neenah quickly cut into that advantage and closed to within 35-28 after three, and within a basket late.
