Frankie Wurtz scored 16 points and Elly Pirman had 11 for Kimberly.

At Kaukauna, the Ghosts stormed back from a 34-25 deficit after three quarters and cut the margin to two, but in three possessions could not score the tying basket.

North made 10-of-12 free throws in the final quarter to hold off the Ghosts, with Mackenzie Greisch going five-for-seven. Greisch finished with a team-high 17 points for the Lightning, while Meg Riebau added 15.

Taylor Ball led Kaukauna with 20 points.

At Neenah, the Rockets focussed on taking away the ability of the Wildcats to get to the lane and held them to just two baskets from the lane in the first half.

Brooke Hiltunen led the Rockets with 19 points. She scored 12 in the second half.

“They switched to a 1-2-2 and Brooke did what she needed to do to attack the post from the zone,” Neenah coach Andy Braunel said.
