Bound Brook 67, Middlesex 59: Senior Kara Smiegocki poured in 29 points and Janeea’ Summers added 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Bound Brook in the opener of the Clem Santy Tournament at the Faber School in Dunellen. Olivia Nilson chipped in eight points for the undefeated Crusaders (3-0), who will face Dunellen at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the final. Amanda Abate tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds for Middlesex, while Rosalinda Guarino chipped in 14 points and Tori Schweyher netted 13 for the Blue Jays (2-1), who will face Manville in the 2:30 p.m. consolation game Saturday.

Dunellen 53, Manville 23: Sophomore guard Rachel Herbig posted 14 points and seven rebounds, and classmate Jackie Vonitter added 12 points to lead Dunellen in the first round of the Clem Santy Tournament. Sydney Miller grabbed nine rebounds for the Destroyers (2-1), who will face Bound Brook for the title at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Megan Mack scored nine points for Manville (0-2), which will battle Middlesex in the consolation game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Somerville 57, Lenape 49: Freshman Nyasia Thomas posted 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Somerville to an opening-round victory in the Mount Olive Tournament. Sophomore Angelica Borja added 13 points, while Sarah Todd chipped in six points and four boards for the Pioneers (1-2), who will face Mount Olive in the final at 12 p.m. Saturday.

50, Watchung Hills 48: Marly Blajsa netted 13 points and Megan McFadden added 11, but Watchung Hills fell in the opener of the Mount Olive Tournament. The Warriors (1-2) will face Lenape at 10 a.m. Saturday in the consolation game.

Prep 66, Parkway (PA) 11:Sophomore forward Mackenzie Michaels netted 15 points and grabbed five rebounds to send Rutgers Prep into the final of the ESCIT Prime Time Shootout at Trenton Catholic. Freshman center Gabi Redden added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Argonauts (), who will face Trenton Catholic or Conwell-Egan (PA) for the title at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

East Orange Tournament first round

46, Sparta 45: Asia Hill dropped in a layup with two seconds left off a Drew Winter pass to lift Plainfield in the opening round of the East Orange Tournament. The Cardinals (2-1), who trailed by four points entering the fourth quarter, will face Robeson (NY) at 3 p.m. today in the semifinals. Breana Spencer led the way with 17 points for Plainfield, while Winter added 13 points. Hill finished with six points.
