Allison Fuller and Audrey Oswalt were dominant as Athens beat Climax-Scotts 52-25 at home on Tuesday night.
Oswalt recorded a double-double with 12 points and 18 rebounds to go along with five steals and three assists. Fuller also stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
Athens used a 14-2 second-quarter run to jump out to a 21-7 halftime lead, and never looked back.
“Our defense played really well and our transition offense was really good tonight,” said Athens coach Calvin Quist, whose Indians improved to 3-0 with the win.
For Climax-Scotts (2-1), Sydney Macomber scored nine points, Madison Nabozny had five and Taylor Macomber and Mckenzie Hennessy chipped in three points apiece.
Hailee Hurst had six points, six rebounds and four steals for Athens.

Casey Looper led the Spartans with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Savannah Olsen added 15 points and nine boards in the win. Portage Central’s Jessica Dornoff scored 25 points.
(At) St. Philip 51, Jackson Christian 44: Megan Gordon’s 17 points and seven rebounds paced St. Philip as the Tigers picked up their first win of the season. Also for the Tigers (1-2), Emily Freybler had 13 points and seven rebounds, Nina Winkler had 12 points and seven rebounds and Emily Schaub had four points and five rebounds.
(At) Jackson 68, B.C. Central 43: Battle Creek Central was led by Ka-Leah Ryan with 12 points in the loss. Also for the Bearcats, Madisonn Jackson had six points and 11 rebounds.
(At) Gull Lake 41, Thornapple-Kellogg 38: Gull Lake’s Kelsey Bauer scored 12 points as the Blue Devils improve to 3-0 on the year. Also for Gull Lake, Elaina Haase, Morgan Nusbaum, Abbey Watson and Mackenzie Latt each scored six points.
Marshall 40, (at) St. Joseph 23: Tierra Orban and Taylor Jungel had 10 points apiece in the victory for Marshall (3-0).
(At) Kalamazoo Hackett 51, Delton Kellogg 36: Sarah Rendon had a career-high 17 points in the loss for Delton Kellogg. Also for the Panthers (0-3), Kristen Mohn had 11 points.
(At) Olivet 62, Galesburg-Augusta 32: Olivet’s Hayley Walkowski filled up the stat sheet with 19 points, nine steals and seven assists in the win. Columbia Central 59, (at) Homer 55: Homer’s Bailey Manis had 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the loss. Also for the Trojans (2-1), Alyssa Boyd had 16 points, 10 rebounds and five steals.
