Girls basketball roundup: Rozzi leads Highland


Alison Rozzi scored 18 points as the Highland High School girls basketball team defeated host New Paltz, 55-29, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League game on Tuesday.
Shannon Ward and Tianna Pittman added nine and eight points, respectively, for the Huskies, who held a 27-9 haltime lead.

John A. Coleman Catholic 64, Dover 25 — Cassandra Drogan scored a team-high 11 points for host Dover in a 64-25 Mid-Hudson Athletic League loss to John A. Coleman Catholic.

Millbrook 53, Rhinebeck 38 — Mackenzie Harkenrider had 14 points to pace visiting Millbrook, which took a 17-5 first-quarter lead in the MHAL game.
Samantha Cassata scored 14 points for Rhinebeck.

Saugerties 52, Marlboro 39 — Down just 25-23 at halftime late Tuesday, the Iron Dukes scored two points in the third period on the way to defeat.
Angelica DeSantis led all scorers, but no other Marlboro player scored more than eight points.

Haldane 58, Walter Panas 50 — Allie Monteleone scored 20 points to lead visiting Haldane.

Faith Christian Academy 34, Tabernacle Christian Academy 25 — Melanie Nash had 13 points and 15 rebounds as the host Warriors won late Monday.
