Girls cross country: Falcons' Swaim fourth, Lions third

Fairfield Union sophomore Jessica Swaim took fourth at the Newark Catholic Invitational, posting a new school record for sophomores (20:14) to earn the highest finish of any area runners. Teammate Jessica Wade finished 12th as the Falcons placed sixth out of 16 teams.

Liberty Union finished third as a team behind senior Aubrey Dunfee’s 14th-place finish (21:25) and freshman Kenley French’s 17th-place run (21:40). Alaina Miller (19th), Katie Hanson (27th) and Brittany Schmauch (36th) also scored.
