The Ozaukee girls soccer team went undefeated Saturday to win the Brookfield Academy Bash tournament.
The Warriors opened with a 2-0 win over Martin Luther thanks to goals by Emily Janke and Emma Yanke. Ozaukee followed that with a 3-0 win over Mauston on goals by Natalie Clark, Emily Janke and Lizzie Janke. The Warriors finished the day with a 3-2 win over St. Mary Central; Katie Bares scored twice while Clark added one.
“It was a fast start to our season and it feels pretty special for our team to battle back and get a quality win vs. a perennial state soccer participant,” coach Eric Liebergen said in a statement. “Central is a very good team, we hope to build off this experience.”
