Christine Hatter had two goals and an assist on Thursday as the host Rhinebeck High School girls soccer team wrapped up an undefeated division schedule, defeating John A. Coleman Catholic 4-1.
Rhinebeck, the champion of the Mid-Hudson Athletic League’s Division 4, finished the regular season with a 9-5 record and an 8-0 division mark. Rhinebeck faces Spackenkill in an MHAL semifinal on Monday at 7 p.m. in Marlboro.
“Christine, being our senior captain, really brought the team together (Thursday),” Rhinebeck coach Matt Grande said. “We were really gunning for this game. We wanted to remain undefeated in our division.”
Michelle Giamportone had three assists, while Rebecca Gausepohl and Natalie Hutchins each added a goal..
Goalkeeper Sydney Spencer recorded four saves, while Rhinebeck outshot the Stateswomen 17-5.
“We will need to stay composed,” Grande said. “We will need to possess the ball better (against Spackenkill).”
