Wardlaw-Hartridge 4, Our Lady of Mercy 4 (5-4 in a sudden-death shootout): Senior Mairead Forrest buried her shot in the first sudden-death round of a shootout, following a save by sophomore keeper Lacey Gress, as sixth-seeded Wardlaw-Hartridge advanced. The Rams trailed 4-2 at halftime after Taylor Gerhart scored a pair of goals before Neema Liverpool scored in the 62nd minute and Alex Garces tied the game with 1:30 left in regulation. Forrest, Garces, Gerhart and Kiera Varley hit for Wardlaw-Hartridge during the best-of-5 shootout before Gress, who finished with 17 saves, stopped Our Lady of Mercy’s fifth attempt before the Rams missed, to force the sudden-death round. The Rams will face third-seeded St. Joseph-Hammonton in the quarterfinals.

Rutgers Prep 2, Gill St. Bernard’s 1:Tyler Nolley snapped a 1-1 tie with 15 minutes left in regulation to lift ninth-seeded Rutgers Prep into the quarterfinals. Radhika Kadakia opened the scoring for the Argonauts after a corner kick played by Lauren Davis. Rutgers Prep will visit top-seeded St. Rose on Thursday. Andrea Jablonskyj scored the goal for Gill St. Bernard’s.

Cardinal McCarrick 4, Roselle Catholic 0: Megan Kosa registered a hat trick and Madison McNally chipped in a goal and two assists as seventh-seeded Cardinal McCarrick (9-6) rolled. The Eagles advance to Thursday’s quarterfinals against second-seeded Mater Dei.

Moorestown Friends 4, Timothy Christian 1: Sabrina Solorzano scored a first-half goal for Timothy Christian, but the fifth-seeded Tigers were eliminated.

Bishop Eustace 2, Mount St. Mary 1: Adrienne Capants scored off a Shannon Zimmerman pass, but seventh-seeded Mount St. Mary was eliminated by the No. 10 seed and wraps up its season 12-7-2.

Union Catholic 6, St. Dominic 0: Kate Lowe and Gabi Martes each scored two goals, while Chrissy Mastrocola posted three assists to send eighth-seeded Union Catholic past No. 9 St. Dominic. Morgan Sosnowski added a goal and keeper Torrie Zamorski made eight saves for the Vikings, who will visit No. 1 seed Immaculate Heart at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Mount St. Dominic 4, Mother Seton 0: Tenth-seeded Mother Seton was knocked out by the seventh seed and ends their season 7-13.

North 2 Group IV

Ridge 7, Piscataway 0: Jenny Haskel netted two goals, while Gigi Cifelli and Kristina Mueller each added a goal and an assist as third-seeded and defending sectional champ Ridge cruised into the quarterfinals. Amanda Cox, Kelly McWhorter and Alex Weyrauch added goals for the Red Devils, who will play host to sixth-seeded Elizabeth on Thursday. Jackie McEvoy made 12 saves for 14th-seeded Piscataway.

Bridgewater-Raritan 5, Columbia 0: Lauren Hall posted two goals and two assists, while Allison Morgan and Rebecca Dransfield each struck for a goal and an assist and fourth-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan advanced. Jessica Schwed also hit for the Panthers, who will face 12th-seeded Edison on Thursday.

Governor Livingston 5, Parsippany Hills 2: Lindsay DiStaso posted a hat trick, while Haley Clark and Lauren Jankoswki added goals as fourth-seeded Governor Livingston rolled into the quarterfinals. The Highlanders will play host to No. 5 Morris Hills on Thursday.

Summit 2, South Plainfield 2 (2-1 in shootout): Caity Hughes and Brianna Boyce scored second-half goals and sixth-seeded South Plainfield erased a 2-0 halftime deficit to force overtime, but the Tigers fell 2-1 in a shootout to 11th-seeded Summit.

Cranford 8, Voorhees 1: No. 16 Voorhees was eliminated by the No. 1 seed and wraps up its season at 5-15-1.

West Essex 3, Colonia 0: Brittany Martins made 34 saves for ninth-seeded Colonia (8-9).

North 2 Group II

Bernards 4, Rutherford 0: Montana Sutton netted two goals, while Kristin Coury and Claudia Prandoni each tallied a goal and an assist and fifth-seeded Bernards advanced. The Mountaineers will visit No. 4 Hanover Park in Thursday’s quarterfinals.

Central Group IV

Old Bridge 4, West Windsor-Plainsboro North 1: Lauren Coletti registered a hat trick and added an assist and Ashley Cafarella also scored for top-seeded Old Bridge (17-2). The Knights will play ninth-seeded Manalapan in the quarterfinals.

East Brunswick 2, Sayreville 0: Sarah Schnayder scored her first varsity goal, while Sydney Rosa scored her team-leading 19th to lead the second-seeded East Brunswick High School girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over 15th-seeded Sayreville in a first round Central Group IV game on Monday.

Margaret Lee set up the opening goal in the sixth minute, as she found Schnayder, who one-timed the ball just under the crossbar from eight yards out. Rosa’s second half goal came after she crushed a shot from 12 yards off a pass from Carla Larocaa, who played a beautiful through ball from Catherine McCulley

Alex Kalafor made four saves to record the shutout for the Bears (18-4-1) while Bombers (6-12-1) goalie Kelly Raub made 12 saves.

Hunterdon Central 3, Brick Memorial 2 (OT): Freshman Gabby Provenzano converted a pass from classmate Luciana Zullo three minutes into overtime to lift third-seeded Hunterdon Central into the quarterfinals. Zullo and senior Kaitlin Greenstein gave the Red Devils a 2-0 lead before 14th-seeded Brick Memorial tied it in the second half. Zullo also assisted Greenstein’s goal for Central, which will face sixth-seeded Freehold Township on Thursday.

Montgomery 3, Colts Neck 1: Colby Ciarrocca scored two goals and Colleen Gaffey added another to send fourth-seeded Montgomery. Jessi Goldman posted two assists for the Cougars, who will play host to fifth-seeded Freehold Boro on Thursday.

Freehold Boro 1, Hillsborough 0: Katerina Albanese made 18 saves for 12th-seeded Hillsborough, but fifth-seeded Freehold Boro found the back of the net in overtime to sink the Raiders.

Manalapan 2, South Brunswick 1: Miho Yamada scored on a pass from Taylor Brantley for eighth-seeded South Brunswick (13-7).

Freehold Township 6, Monroe 0: The eleventh-seeded Falcons were shutout by the six seed and finish their season 9-8-3.

Central Group III

Somerville 7, Lawrence 0: Melissa Hand struck for two goals, while Emily Lockwood added a goal and an assist to boost top-seeded Somerville. Jill Black posted two assists for the Pioneers, who will play host to eighth-seeded Ocean Township in the quarterfinals.

Wall 6, Woodbridge 0: Justine Stefura and Karli Huber combined to make nine saves for tenth-seeded Woodbridge (7-14), which trailed just 1-0 at halftime.

Central Group II

Delaware Valley 2, Robbinsville 0: Katie Cordasco and Danielle Tomko scored goals, while Evangeline Soucie made 14 saves, as ninth-seeded Delaware Valley advanced. Cordasco also picked up an assist for the Terriers, who will visit top-seeded Holmdel in Thursday’s quarterfinals.

Cinnaminson 2, Spotswood 1: Rebecca Hager connected on a second-half penalty kick but second-seeded Spotswood (14-4-1) fell on a goal inside of a minute to play. Lisa Millburn made eight saves for the Chargers.

Bordentown 2, Carteret 1: Fiorella Doglio converted a header from Julia Silva in the second half for sixth-seeded Carteret (13-7-1).

Holmdel 5, North Plainfield 1: Caitlin Gugliotta scored a goal, but 16th-seeded North Plainfield fell to the No. 1 seed.

Rahway 3, Matawan 1: Emily Beenders scored twice and Catalina Lozano also scored for third-seeded Rahway (14-5-2). The Indians will play 11th-seeded Bordentown in Thursday’s quarterfinals.

Central Group I

Middlesex 1, South Hunterdon 0: Corrine Jones scored with 9:00 left in regulation to break a scoreless tie and send ninth-seeded Middlesex past No. 8 South Hunterdon. Katlyn Schweyher made six saves for the Blue Jays, who will visit top-seeded Metuchen in Thursday’s quarterfinals. Megan Donnelly made seven saves for South Hunterdon, which wraps up its inaugural varsity season at 5-12-1.

Point Pleasant Beach 6, South River 0: Breona Hill made 15 saves for tenth-seeded South River (6-14-1).

Florence 6, Bound Brook 0: Erica Bruno scored two of the six goals that sank 12th-seeded Bound Brook.
