Somerset County Tournament semifinals
Ridge 3, Pingry 2: Junior Jenny Haskel buried a penalty kick with 6:33 left in regulation to snap a 2-2 tie and lift fourth-seeded Ridge over top-seeded Pingry and into the Somerset County Tournament final. Maddie Temares gave Pingry (8-4-1) a 1-0 lead with 3:35 left in the first half, scoring off an Alexa Ferreira pass, before Chrissy Weyrauch tied it 11:58 into the second period for the Red Devils. After Ferreira finished a Rachel Corboz pass to give the Big Blue a lead with 15:03 left, Gigi Cifelli tied it 3:41 later. Ridge (10-3-1) will face second-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan in next Saturday’s final, 1 p.m. at Watchung Hills High School.
Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament quarterfinals
Hunterdon Central 3, Delaware Valley 0: Christine Tack posted a goal and an assist, and Riley Coopersmith and Emily Pizzuto each added a goal to lead 1A seed Hunterdon Central into the semifinals of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament. Bristol Pizzuto posted two saves for the Red Devils, who will face 3A seed Belvidere next Saturday. Evangeline Coucie made 12 saves for 5A seed Delaware Valley.
East Brunswick 1, Sayreville 0: Sydney Rosa scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute off an assist from Catherine McCulley to lift East Brunswick. Alex Kalafor made 12 saves in goal for the Bears, earning the shutout, while Sayreville keeper Kelly Raub made 12 saves as well.
Monroe 1, West Windsor-Plainsboro North 0: Jessica McDonald scored off of a feed from Abigayle Cicoria to lift Monroe (8-6-2) while keeper Erin Seppi made seven saves for the shutout.
Wardlaw-Hartridge 5, Mother Seton 0: Carlyn Schlidge, Karolyn Gonzalez, Alex Garces, Lauren Yates, and Mairead Forest all scored goals to power Wardaw-Hartridge (7-6).
Hightstown 3, Edison 1: Colleen Burke scored a goal and Kaitlin Marold made 22 saves for Edison (10-4-2).
