Lake Central (St. John, Ind.) standout Gelen Robinson announced Monday that he will follow in his famous father's footsteps and attend to Purdue. Unlike his dad, Glenn, who played 11 seasons in the NBA after being the No. 1 pick of the 1994 draft, Gelen will play football for the Boilermakers.
Just verbally committed to Purdue! #boilerup

Gelen Robinson, whose brother Glenn III helped lead Michigan basketball team to the NCAA title game, had 95 tackles and 13 sacks last season. He also won the state wrestling championship at 220 pounds and finished second at the state meet in the shot put and discus. Will he be a multi-sport athlete at Purdue?
“Just football, just football,” Robinson told the Northwest Times. “But maybe I'll look into track after one year. I'll have to see how I feel.”
