St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (Alexandria, Va.) senior Sam Beazell earned a scholarship to play lacrosse at Division-I power Loyola (Md.) for his ability to stop goals, not score them, but he’ll probably be talking about this play for a long time.
WATCH: Another sweet lacrosse goal
After making a save in the first half of Friday’s Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I tournament semifinal game against Woodberry Forest, Beazell launched the ball toward the Woodberry Forest goal. Eighty yards later, it found the back of the net.
St. Stephen’s/St. Agenes went on to win, 8-5. The Saints downed Paul VI on Saturday to capture their second consecutive state title.
