Make it seven out of eight for the Greece Athena boys bowling team.

Junior Bryce Hook totaled a six-game 1,400 series and the Trojans cruised to their seventh Class B title in eight years at the Section V boys Bowling Championships on Friday at Gates Lanes.

Athena also clinched its fifth trip to the state championships in that span by erasing a 145-pin deficit entering the final game.

Hook, the holder of a 237 average, bowled a 268 in the final game to go with a 243 by Matt Richmond and a 238 from Kyle Trick.

“This was very sweet,” coach Dick Zimmer said. “In the 10th frame of our last game we had 11 strikes (among 5 bowlers).”

Hook, Richmond and Trick will be joined by starters Dennis Dautel and Jordan Martorana at the the state championships, which will be held March 2-3 at Strike ‘n Spare Lanes in Syracuse.
