A pair of seniors who contributed to two state field hockey championships for Greene High will move on to NCAA Division I programs: Emily Conroe to Wake Forest and Jahna Driscoll to the University of Massachusetts.
Conroe was a five-season starter for Trojans teams that won 90 of 95 games. She was a four-year Section 4 all-star, was twice All-State and was first-team All-America North Region each of the past two seasons.
Greene went 74-2 in Driscoll’s four seasons as a starter as she rang up 91 goals and 44 assists. She was likewise a four-time Section 4 all-star, twice All-State and was first-team All-America North Region last season.
Emily will join her sister Christine, a midfielder with Wake Forest. Driscoll will play for UMass coach Carla Tagliente, a Marathon High graduate and four-season All-American at the University of Maryland.
